The Voltair Air mobile app (the “App”) lets you control your Voltair air purifier from your phone. This policy explains what information the App uses and how.
Information we collect
The App does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location or usage habits. The App contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
Permissions the App uses
- Bluetooth: To find nearby Voltair air purifiers and communicate with them. This communication happens only between your phone and the purifier and is never sent to any server.
- Internet: Only to check whether new software is available for your purifier and to download it. A public update file is downloaded; no information about you or your purifier is sent.
- Location (Android 11 and earlier only): These Android versions require location permission for Bluetooth scanning. The App does not use or store your location.
Information stored on your phone
The App stores the names and IDs of purifiers you have connected to, on your phone only, so they stay in your list even when they are out of range. Deleting the App deletes this information.
Information stored on the purifier
Your purifier stores the name you give it, its speed and schedule settings and its filter usage time. This information never leaves the purifier; only phones connected to it over Bluetooth can see it.
Third parties
Software updates are hosted on GitHub (GitHub, Inc.). When checking for updates, your phone sends a standard internet request to GitHub, which, like any internet connection, includes your IP address. GitHub privacy statement.
Children
Since the App collects no personal data, it collects no data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page.
